Become a Coach

Our Coaching Team is the lifeblood of Frankston Archery Club. Every coach you’ll meet here is a volunteer—generously giving their time, knowledge, and patience to help archers of all ages and experience levels learn safely, build confidence, and enjoy the sport.

The Club Committee extends a heartfelt thank you to our volunteer coaches for the thousands of hours they’ve donated—your commitment is what makes our club thrive.

By volunteering their time for our coaching courses, the fees you pay go straight back into the day-to-day operation of the Club and help keep memberships affordable for everyone.

Becoming a Coach

Coaching sits at the heart of learning archery, helping every archer build safe, consistent technique and progress with confidence. That’s why it’s important that our coaches—and the standards they work to—are trained, supported, and kept to the highest possible level.

In Victoria, the Archery Victoria (AV) Coaching Coordinator oversees coaching across the state and insure all our coaches have completed a high level of skills training..

In January 2020, Archery Australia introduced an updated Coach Accreditation Scheme, including a new requirement that coach presenters and assessors hold the appropriate accreditation. Victoria is currently transitioning to this updated system.

Frankston Archery Club has a high number of coaches.
