No. Archery relies on technique than strength. Beginners start with low draw-weight bows and gradually increase as their form and confidence improve. Our coaches help match equipment to the archer’s ability.

Archery is one of the most accessible sports, as it can be adapted to suit a wide range of physical abilities.
Equipment such as lighter draw‑weight bows, release aids, adapted arrow rests, bow mounts and seated shooting options make it possible for many people with physical or mobility challenges to participate .
This inclusivity is demonstrated by archery’s long‑standing presence in the Paralympic Games. Check out Paralympic Games youtube channel to see some brilliant archers shoot!
We encourage you to contact us before booking so we can understand your needs and make the session as safe and enjoyable as possible (for example, adapting equipment, lane position, or coaching approach where feasible).
